Alison B. Marsh, the writer of YourPregnantCore.com, was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV
In 2011 Alison began extensive research in pregnancy and exercise, and developed the DK Body Pregnancy Pilates Method teaching certified Pilates instructors and fitness professionals how to safely instruct pregnant and post-partum women.
Alison has been teaching Pilates since 2002, and is mat and equipment certified through the DK Body Balancing Method created by Dolly Kelepecz.
In 2003, Alison graduated with a Bachelor in Dance Education, receiving a full scholarship through the program, and in 2005 graduated with a Bachelor in Social Work (BSW), both from UNLV.
Alison is also a posture specialist, having studied through the National Posture Institute.
Alison gave birth to her first biological child in July 2015, adding to a family of 2 step children and 2 adopted children. Her personal experience with pregnancy and exercise has broadened her knowledge and ability to share valuable information with other pregnant women and fitness instructors.
Alison is the owner of AM Pilates & Posture where she teaches private and semi-private Pilates lessons to men and women.
