The following video is a series of exercises for postnatal women to do at home with their infants.
Some of these exercises are more challenging than others, so make sure you use precaution – only do what you can. The following tips about each exercise will help.
- Precaution: If you have Diastasis Recti- an abdominal split in the abs wider than 2 finger width, you should only do the warm-up portion of this video! Any contracting can make a split worse.
- Keep the pelvic floor lifted and transverse abs pulled back-hug the belly.
- Keep lattisimus Dorsi muscles engaged to help keep shoulders down, and to help keep pelvis stable.
